Welcome to Maine Imaging
What we do:
Maine Imaging provides services including aerial photography (we have over 3,200 online aerial photos of the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island), residential and commercial custom aerial photography, youth sports photography (we currently serve 5 towns in the mid coast Maine region), portraits (including group, family and senior portraits), and fine art Photography (we participate in art shows all over the state). In 2010, we partnered with DeLorme, and will be printing the Maine Geographic Calendar for the next several years. Last year, we finished a project with Maine Boats, Homes, and Harbors Magazine, supplying aerial photographs to accompany their online tide charts. We've also had several photos appear in Downeast Magazine, GQ Magazine, and others, and have been photographing the people and places of Maine for the Maine Office of Tourism. From the beginning, our goal has been to produce high end photography products at affordable prices. I hope that you enjoy my images as much as I enjoy making them.
My history as a professional photographer started in 1990 when I was offered a job as a resort photographer on a golf course in South Carolina. A year later, I bought the company and began expanding. By 1998 I had photographers at 10 area golf resorts, 2 ski resorts, had photographed events for Sara lee and Lowes’, as well as several advertising clients. The next year, I sold the business and moved back to Maine, where I met and married my wife, Colleen. After several of her “suggestions” that I get back into the photography business, here I am.
Maine Imaging uses only high end Canon equipment including "L series" lenses and the Canon 5D Mark II, a full frame DSLR camera with a 21 MP sensor, and the new Canon 7D, with it's 18MP sensor, for the very best, high resolution images possible.
Since 1983, DeLorme has published the Maine Geographic Calendar. The calendar provides Mainers with tide information, sunrise and sunset times and moon phases. Along with all of this information are some of the best Maine Images to be found, from all over our State. All of this is printed on heavy stock and spriral bound in a 9.5 x 12" format. But in 2010, the calendar was absent from store shelves.
For 2011, DeLorme has teamed up with Dave Cleaveland and Maine Imaging to revive the Maine Geographic Calendar. Dave’s photography covers the entire state, from the frozen Smalls Falls in Rangeley, to the rocks near Nubble Light in York, to 5000’ over Mount Katahdin. Using the same format and keeping the same price, the Calendar will once again be on store shelves.
